Bill Gage is the founder and CEO of Gage Advisory Services, an independent advisory and consulting firm that provides fractional and interim CFO services.
Bill is the CFO who helps independent business owners of insurance services firms trust their numbers so that they can think strategically about their finances and profitably grow their business.
Clients have included:
Working with the CFO of a complex, private equity backed company. Bill helped the accounting team deliver quality financial statements on time, which resulted in a clean audit opinion and continuance of compliance certificates. Subsequent to the audit, Bill continued to serve the client as interim controller;
An insurance services firm where Bill was the interim finance director leading the firm’s growth plan;
A global insurance firm where he led the team that finalized and recovered maximum value from discontinued reinsurance programs. His constant was to focus on bettering the corporate finances by maximizing cash flow and improving the accounting practices.
Background and Experience:
After obtaining a B.A. degree in Accounting at Western Washington University in 1982, Bill started on a career path as an internal auditor. In 1988, he earned his Certified Internal Auditor designation which has furthered his ability to create productive processes and systems for his clients. Bill then transitioned into Corporate Finance, managing global insurance programs and recovering 100% of the World Trade Center losses from the company’s reinsurance programs.
In addition to his consulting business, Bill co-leads C-Suite Connectors, a professional networking group for Corporate Executives and the South Bay Chapter of the Financial Executives Networking Group. He serves the Pacific Food and Beverage Foundation, a 501c3, by assisting with their finances and accounting.
Bill is a native of the Pacific Northwest (hailing from the Original Vancouver), and resides in Los Angeles, CA with his wife and two sons. He enjoys the sunshine, baseball, jazz and blues, reading, and meeting interesting people.
